Metros to get first rounder from DC, send it to Dallas
January 11, 2005

As reported by 3rdDegree.net and confirmed by MetroFanatic, the MetroStars will acquire DC Scum's first round pick (12th overall) as compensation for Jaime Moreno. And, although Bob Bradley told BigAppleSoccer that it has not been decided if the Metros will keep the pick or give it to Dallas as compensation for Joselito Vaca (as reported by 3rdDegree and the Dallas Morning News), it looks like it will be the latter. If the Metros were to give the pick to Dallas, that will wipe out the future considerations slate almost completely clean; DC still owes the Metros either a top 30 pick in 2005 or a top 20 in 2006, and they do not have any picks in the current top 30 as of now. Of course, neither would the Metros, but don't be surprised if Bradley deals the extra pick from next year...
